How to Create Your First Support Chat

Step-by-step guide to creating an AI support chat from your website URL

A support chat is an AI chatbot built from your website. VoxeDesk analyzes your URL, learns your business, and sets everything up automatically — usually within 2–5 minutes.

Before you start

Make sure your website is publicly accessible. VoxeDesk needs to be able to read your site's content to build the knowledge base. Password-protected or staging sites won't work.

Step 1: Open the creation form

From your dashboard, click Create New support chat. This opens the support chat setup form.

Step 2: Enter your website URL

Type your business website URL (for example, https://yourbusiness.com) and click Inspect Website.

VoxeDesk will scan your site — this takes 1–2 minutes. While it runs, it:

  • Reads your website content
  • Extracts your business name, logo, and brand colors
  • Generates a preview of your knowledge base

Step 3: Review the extracted information

After the scan, you'll see a summary of what VoxeDesk found:

  • Business name (you can edit this)
  • Business summary
  • Knowledge base preview
  • Logo and color scheme

Review these and correct the business name if needed before continuing.

Step 4: Confirm the setup

Optionally provide:

  • Logo URL — a direct link to your logo image
  • Primary color — your brand color as a hex code (e.g. #0052cc)
  • Secondary color — an accent color as a hex code

Check the data processing consent box, then click Create.

Step 5: Wait for setup to complete

VoxeDesk now builds everything automatically:

  1. Creates a knowledge base from your website content
  2. Generates a system message template for the AI
  3. Sets up a Help Desk inbox for customer conversations
  4. Creates a workflow to process incoming messages
  5. Generates your support chat page

This takes 2–5 minutes. You'll see a confirmation when it's done.

Step 6: Test your support chat

Once created, you'll get a public URL for your support chat. Share it with your team to test the AI before embedding it on your website.

Tip: Your Chat Widget Script (the embed code for your website) is available immediately in Dashboard → Integrations once the support chat is created.
