Helpdesk Setup and Agents

There are two related tiles in Integrations:

1. Helpdesk Setup (always available)

Configures where conversations go — Voxe’s managed helpdesk (ChatVoxe), your own Chatwoot instance, or a custom helpdesk URL.

Voxe Helpdesk (recommended)

  • DashboardIntegrationsAdd IntegrationHelpdesk Setup
  • Click Create Voxe Helpdesk. Voxe creates the Chatwoot account and owner user via the Platform API and stores the access token securely — you do not receive a separate owner invite to set a password in Voxe, and you do not copy an API token by hand for this flow.
  • In Your Integrations, click Open Helpdesk next to your ChatVoxe integration to sign in instantly via a Platform login link.

Your own Chatwoot (manual): expand Connect Your Own Helpdesk, enter Base URL, Account ID, and API access token, then test and save.

This is the only integration type available on FREE after the trial expires until you upgrade.

2. Helpdesk Agent Setup (STARTER+ or active FREE trial)

Adds human collaborators to your Chatwoot account and assigns them to inboxes.

  • Add IntegrationHelpdesk Agent Setup
  • Invite Agent tab: enter the agent’s real email address (optional Full name) → Send Invite. Chatwoot emails them to set their own password — you do not create or share a password, and plus-addressed emails are not required.
  • Manage Collaborators tab: assign agents to inboxes. Until the invite is accepted, the row may show Invite pending and inbox assignment stays unavailable; open this tab again later or refresh after they accept.

Agent counts follow your plan’s helpdesk agent limits (see Integration slot limits).
