How to Set Up the Chat Widget

Embed the VoxeDesk AI chatbot on your website with a simple script

The Chat Widget lets visitors on your website chat with your AI directly — without leaving the page. It connects to the same workflow and Help Desk as your support chat.

Availability: STARTER and above, or an active 14-day trial. Expired FREE accounts see an upgrade prompt.

How to generate and install the widget

  1. Go to Dashboard → Integrations → Add Integration → Chat Widget Script
  2. Select the Support chat to embed (the AI and workflow behind the widget)
  3. Choose a Position (left or right side of the screen)
  4. Choose a Type (standard bubble or expanded bubble)
  5. If you're on BUSINESS or ENTERPRISE (or an active trial), optionally enable Smart Page Context — this gives the AI awareness of which page the visitor is on. See Smart Page Context for details.
  6. Click Copy Script
  7. Paste the script into your website's HTML, just before the closing </body> tag
  8. Publish your website

The widget is now live. Visitors can click it to start a conversation with your AI.

Re-copying the script after changes

If you change the support chat, position, type, or Smart Page Context settings, copy the script again and re-publish your site. The live embed on your site only updates when you replace the pasted script.
